Families Forward offers a comprehensive array of programs and services to low-income and homeless families living in South
Orange County. Upon entering a Families Forward program, clients are given an initial intake orientation to available
programs and information on other services offered in the community that may help meet their needs.
Food Pantry
Families Forward's food pantry offers individuals and families emergency groceries. Clients receive bags of food with
non-perishable food items from most of the food groups as well as bread; we also provide fresh produce when available. We
also try and provide essential items for infants such as diapers and formula when available. Healthy eating and food
planning and budgeting information are also provided.
Career Coaching
Families Forward has two experienced career coaches that meet one-on-one with clients on a regular basis to identify career
options and help develop skills in job-search strategies, resume writing, interviewing skills, and salary negotiation.
Counseling
Case managers work with clients to address issues in areas such as budgeting and saving, debt reduction, parenting, and stress
management.
Transitional Housing Program
This intensive program offers homeless families transitional housing combined with support services to help them move from
crisis to stability and then to self-sufficiency.
Referral Services
Individuals whose needs are not able to be met through Families Forward services can receive referral information on outside
agencies that offer additional services or may be closer to their home or current location.
